We’re cruising around the country.

As much as we love interaction via social media, nothing beats meeting mother runners in person. We’re still planning out all our 2013 races, but we already have a great schedule shaping up. We hope our paths cross with yours!

Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18
Portland, OR
Last year, the debut Rock ‘n’ Roll Portland won raves for its [mainly] Eastside course and enthusiastic spectators. Sarah is excited to be a part of the expo: She’ll be at the SofSole booth selling our books and tees and signing books (yours or bought from us). Stop by and see that she looks taller when Dimity isn’t by her side! PLEASE NOTE: Sarah is leaving expo at 3 p.m. on Saturday. She’s hoping to see your smiling face during some of the other hours of the expo.

Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26
Bend, OR
Sarah is stoked that being a part of Happy Girls Run is becoming a Memorial Day weekend tradition for her family: This will be her third year at the fun and incredibly well-run half-marathon, 10K, 5K, and kids’ run. Sarah’s thinking this will be the year her older daughter, Phoebe, gets in on the act, selling books and tees alongside her mom.

Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1
Albany, NY 
Dimity and Sarah venture back to central New York (they both went to Colgate University about 90 minutes away) for the Freihofer’s 35th Run for Women. This venerable 5K draws racers from novices up to international elite runners. We won’t be running the race, but we’ll be selling and signing books and AMR merchandise at the expo both days. (Then SBS is dashing off to Colgate Reunion to meet up with her husband.)

Saturday, June 22
McMinnville, OR
Cheers! Sarah is once again part of Run Now, Wine Later winery brunch put on by adventure-loving Kelly Bither. There will be up to 200 gals at the gorgeous Youngberg Hill Winery. The mid-morning fun will start with a Zumba-style warm-up, then a run through the vineyards, then lunch under a grand white tent while Sarah reads and answers questions, then -swirl, sniff, taste, swallow- wine tasting.

Chicago 
We’re coming back to the Windy City to to party with mother runners. It’s been too long since we’ve been to a ZOOMA women’s race (some of our faves!), so we’re heading to Chiberg for the inaugural ZOOMA half-marathon and 10K there. We’ll be cheering, selling, and signing, and we hope to see you there. (No hills, we promise!)

Columbus, OH
We’d quote Chrissie Hynde and say we’re going “back to Ohio,” but we’ve never been to the Buckeye State with our AMR hats on. We know it is a land rich rich with mother runners, who we’re eager to party with. We’re still deciding on a location for our shindig, but we know this for certain: There will be mingling, drinks, nibbles, giveaways, and epic swag bags. Sunday, September 22
Forest Grove, OR
SBS will be wearing a smile at the debut Happy Girls Run Half-Marathon, 10K, and 5K, where she’ll be MC’ing. (It’ll be like hearing your name on our podcast as you cross the finish line!) The race lopes around Hagg Lake, partly on groomed trail, partly on pavement–all beautiful, with only gentle climbs. It’s going to be a great race!

Wednesday, October 2, 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Gaithersburg, MD
Capital idea: We’re returning to the D.C. area for a Mother Runner party. Not sure if it’ll be in Virginia or Maryland, but one thing’s certain: It’ll be a good time, complete with mingling, wine, light fare, reading, giveaways, and brag-worthy swag bags. If you live in the D.C. area, go ahead and RSVP for this party: You’ll get an Evite in late August.

Chestnut Hill, PA (or another Philly suburb)
We know Pennsylvania is teeming with mother runners, so we’re heading east to party with them! We’re still working out the details, but chances are good the party will be at Indigo Schuy, a super-style-y boutique for active women (that is the first store ever to sell AMR merch!). Like our other Mother Runner parties, the evening will include mingling, wine, light fare, reading, giveaways, and brag-worthy swag bags. Thursday, October 24, 7:30-9:30 p.m.
St. Louis
We might not know our own names at this point–it’ll be our third Mother Runner of the month–but we know we’ll be happy to be in St. Louis. Wine, mingling, nibbles, reading, and doling out giveaways will perk us right up, and we know you’ll be jazzed by the amazing swag bags. St. Louis, MO
We’re headed back to the heartland to rock the Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis. It’ll be the debut trip for us both to the gateway to the west, and we’re looking forward to seeing the famed arch–and meeting lots of mother runners at the expo. We’ll be at the booth of SofSole, our insert partner, selling our merchandise and books. Come stop by and say hi or snap a pic (we know, we know: we’ve both “really tall” and we make you “feel short”!).

In late October we hope you “Meet Me [well, us] in St. Louis.”
