Hump Day Giveaway: Ragnar Hydration Packs

Picture it:

Eleven of your best running friends.

Two vans.

Mountains of Twizzlers and peanut butter pretzels.

And a deep need to hydrate before you need to lace up and run your next Ragnar leg.

We know your pain, which is why we’re going to hook six of you up with a Ragnar Hydration Pack, just in time for you and your BAMR BRFs to pick out which Ragnar you want to rock.

When you win our Hump Day Giveaway, a Nathan Big Shot Water Bottle -- the one with the wide neck so that you can get some ice in it without having to find a hammer -- and a tube o’ NUUN will show up in your mailbox.

Not only will you get what you need to keep your bod hydrated, we’re also adding a Momentum wrap bracelet, to remind you to Stay Strong no matter how stinky your van-mates get.

All you need to do to enter is comment on this post below with an answer to the question: Which snacks will you pack in your Ragnar van?

If we’ve got you thinking about running a Ragnar, our Train Like a Mother club can get you ready to go. We now have TLAM challenges exclusively for Ragnar races. If that weren’t enough, when you sign up for one of three races, the Team Captain gets a free plan!

The fine print: This running giveaway sweepstakes is open to those over 18 and residents of the United States and Canada. Part of a series of weekly running giveaways, it begins on 5/10/17 and ends on 5/16/17. We will announce three random winners on our Facebook page on 5/18/17, as well as notify the winners by email. One entry per person. The value of this prize is $40. The number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning. Void where prohibited by law.

  32. I’ll be packing “Ragnar Crack” for this weekend’s Cape Cod Ragnar – goldfish, dried cherries, sesame sticks, and peanut m&ms!

  33. For all the healthy snacks we pack the van with, without fail, Pringles are always the first to go. I think the ease of the ‘delivery system’ and the salt makes them seem palatable to tired runners.

  34. Pretzels, cuties, and almonds all helped fuel Van #1 for Ragnar So Cal. Such a fun experience, far exceeded any expectations I have. Can’t wait to do it again!

  35. If I ever get a chance to do this my van will be packed full of snacks and music!! So here is a small sampling of what I would want to bring: Almonds, cliff bars, GU chews and gel, twizzlers, peanut butter (2 or 3 jars), bananas, watermelon, apples, pretzels, Nuun, granola, granola bars, fruit snacks…….. 37. Trail Mix, organic jelly bellys and apples. I have never had a chance to do a Ragnar but I hope to some day!

  38. A bunch of my best running buddies and I will be doing the Ragnar Adirondacks this September. For many of us this will be our 4th or 5th Ragnar together (we’ve done Cape Cod 2x times and Florida Keys 2x times). We’ll be packing sweet/salty/savory treats to get us through hours and miles and laughs together. This includes trail mix, peanut M&Ms, chips, bagels, bananas, peanut/almond butter, apples, watermelon and more!

  39. Last fall, for Bourbon Chase, I made a HUGE batch of granola, divided it up into two large Ziplock bags (one for each van), and it was gone before we knew it, in each van. I’ll make that again this year.

  40. I’ll be packing Red Vines, apples, & peanut butter… Might throw in some M&M’s to make things interesting.

  44. Tart cherry juice, Chobani yogurt, Nuun, Larabars, Clif Bars. It was a while ago so I can’t remember what else we had in the van.

  45. Now that I am wiser, the slim jims, candy, and knock off sports drinks are out the window and in come matcha energy bites, nuun, and RX bars.

This year I’m packing Luna Bars – and of course Nuun to drink in the van. Would love the hydration giveaway to share with my van mates!

  50. RX Bars are my newest obsession. So definitely some of those. Also bananas, trail mix, oranges, turkey meatballs, “feed zone portables” waffles and maybe sweet potatoes. Wow. That’s alotnof food!

  51. Having never run one, I’m going to go with M&M’s, maybe the peanut butter ones also, and some pretzels.

  52. Lemonade Vitamin Water, dried pineapple, cashews & Reese’s PB cups (original size because they have the perfect chocolate to PB ratio)!

  53. I’m not sure to be completely honest…his is my 1st one so I’ll leave it to our team captain to help make those decisions!
