Become an AMR Ambassador + 3 Colorado Events + Midwest Parties

Today's post is kind of like the a bag of GORP: lots of good stuff, but a little mismatched.

Preach it, Esprit de She, preach it.

First up: AMR/Hyland's Active Ambassadorships in 3 Cities
Want to be an ambassador for Another Mother Runner and Hyland’s Active? We’re looking for a few enthusiastic women  in a few key cities to attend Esprit de She pep rallies at local Life Time Fitness clubs and races on behalf of our two (dare we say) awesome, inspirational brands.

We need a few mother runners in the Twin Cities, MN (St. Louis Park, Minneapolis, and Maple Grove are the locations); Palo Alto, CA; Dallas, TX (including Grapevine); and Phoenix, AZ (Tempe and Scottsdale to be specific). In exchange for leading a run, (wo)manning a Hyland’s booth, and just being your perfect badass self, you’ll get a special AMR/Hyland’s tech tee, a basket of Hyland’s homeopathic goodies, use of the Life Time gym on a few key days, a race entry, and a $100 Visa gift card.

Interested? E-mail Julie at Julie [at] darbycommunications [dot] com with a little info about yourself (name, age, running experience, a few sentences about why you’d like to be an ambassador) and she’ll be in touch.

I don't know if this our official state logo. Like Sunshine State=Florida, Show-Me State=Missouri. Anybody know if Colorado has one?

Next up: 'Rado Mother Runner Madness
This Ironmother craziness has taken up most of my time, but now that I'm (almost) in my taper, I can shift my energy and focus to some great mother runner events we've got cooking here in Colorful Colorado.

Tuesday, June 11th: Pep Rally! Join me—Dimity—on at 6 p.m. at the Life Time Fitness in Centennial for a 3-mile group run in preparation for the Esprit de She 5K and 10K in Cherry Creek on July 7. (Membership at Life Time not required to attend.)

We’ll have some great prizes—race registrations, copies of Train Like a MotherHyland's Active products and more—to raffle off after the run and I’ll give a short pep talk (it's a pep rally, after all)!

No RSVP necessary.

Monday, July 8th: Mother Runner Party! Join me—Dimity—again at the Jewish Community Center in Denver from 6 to 8 p.m. for an easy 2-mile run, then some good mother runner laughs, conversations and connections, complete with nibbles and wine, a short talk, prizes, and goodie bags. (All religions are welcome.)

RSVP via the Facebook page or through a registration page at the JCC.

Wednesday, July 24th: Meet Up! at the Training Peaks Office in Boulder, CO at 6 pm. We'll go for a short trail run, followed by some chatter and a small talk. (Sensing a theme here?)

More details on this to follow, but mark your calendar now!

The community at our San Francisco party. Can't wait to commune with the Midwestern mother runners.

Last up: Midwest Parties!
As you may know, we are taking our mother runner parties nationwide. We have a change on the date for Columbus, Ohio; we'll be in the Cbus on August 7th, and then in Chicago on August 8th. You can RSVP for either party here (disregard the date of the Columbus party on the RSVP form; it is indeed on August 7th).

We have our feelers out for locations for both cities, but if you know of anywhere—house of a generous mother runner (a big yard can work too), cafe, community room, public space—that might be able to accomodate a party of about 100 women, we'd love to hear about it. You can either comment below or email us at runmother [at] gmail [dot] com.

Thanks all—and happy almost weekend!

  1. Hi to you, you are inspiring and this may be off your topic of ambassadors, but live in upstate NY and would love to meet other MRs.
Live in Utica, Ny between Syracuse and Albany. Please advise. Thanks!

  2. If you EVER need a AMR ambassador in Atlanta, PICK ME, PICK ME, PICK ME!!!
BYW, who won the Humpday Giveaway? Why can’t I see it?

  3. Come to Indiana and I’ll have you at my house! I really want to go to the Columbus party but I’m testing my husband teaching fitness classes two nights a week + Saturday and then leaving him for five days in August for Hood to Coast. You know what you should do – a retreat for Mother Runners so that we can all get away and justify travel. Just sayin’.

  4. Colorado has been nicknamed the “Centennial State” because it became a state in the year 1876, 100 years after the signing of our nation’s Declaration of Independence. Colorado also is called “Colorful Colorado” presumably because of it’s magnificent scenery of mountains, rivers and plains. This phrase has decorated maps, car license plates, tourist information centers and souvenirs of all kinds!

  5. I would be more than happy to host the Chicago one, but we leave to go out of town for the weekend that afternoon. I have plenty of space to host all those ladies, just need a different day. Think about it. 🙂

  6. For your Chicago event – come to Buffalo Grove. My neighborhood has a clubhouse that overlooks a pool, tennis courts and a pond. I’d love to have you.
