Few things get me revved up to run faster than a new playlist. My BFF, Courtenay, generously gifts me one on iTunes every few months (thanks, my dear!), and I love feeling connected to her via Snow Patrol, Grouplove, and Foster the People. And I've taken to stringing together songs on Spotify, the niftiest "in the cloud" way to share music ever. Here's a link to a 10-song playlist I just made for the tribe, dubbed Another Mother Runner Easy Running. Forty minutes long with nothing too rah-rah, it's perfect for a weekday cruise-control run.
And, in my humble opinion, there's no better way to stream playlists to your ears than yurbuds new Inspire Female In-Ear Headphones. The soft silicone buds fit so comfortably in my ears I'd forget I'm wearing them except for the most-excellent stereo sound in my head (yet I can still hear cars approaching at intersections). Here are the three fortunate mother runners chosen at random who will be getting a pair of Inspires as part of a yurbuds giftpack--and the song that's making them feel hip these days:
Amy: "Me without You" by TobyMac
Cheryl: “50 Ways to Say Goodbye” by Train (a fave of a lot of you these days)
Jeannelle R.: "Sweet Nothing" by Calvin Harris with Florence Welch
To claim your prize packs, Amy, Cheryl, and Jeannelle, please email us your first and last name and mailing address to runmother [at] gmail [dot] com. Thanks to everyone (nearly 900 of you) who entered. Loads of great song suggestions in the responses, if you're looking to build some kickin' playlists this weekend...
