Two-Sentence Bio: A yoga teacher and endurance sports coach, I wrote the book on how not to work out (The Athlete’s Guide to Recovery), among several others. I count every day as an opportunity to carbo-load, regardless of when her next race is.
Little Rock Anticipation: Spending time with all of you—and spending time alone in a hotel bed with lots of pillows!

I am looking forward to being a part of the energy and enthusiasm that a group of running ladies will no doubt have. And connecting with some of the women I have corresponded with, as well as making new friends.

Two-Sentence Bio:  In my professional life, I am a business owner (Achieving Your Best, LLC), a sports and wellness dietitian, running coach, personal trainer, and group exercise instructor. I love to run, be outside, travel, cook, and read.
Little Rock Anticipation:  I am most excited about spending the weekend with other women runners. I find such inspiration being around other women who work to balance taking care of themselves and all of the other things that women do every day.

Two-Sentence Bio:  A Texas native with a heart for my sweet home in Chicago, I thrive on the never-ending quest to discover new life-blends of my passions: relationships, music, running, laughing, making hard work fun, and doing things well. Also, I just got into the NYC Marathon, and I’m still flying high.
Little Rock Anticipation: 
BAMRs of all ages and paces convening in the amazingly supportive community of Little Rock to learn, laugh, and live (for a short time) together at Capital Hotel, where  concepts of hospitality and luxury are redefined to impressive "southern comfortable" standards.

Two-Sentence Bio: I am an AMR Support staffer, founder of nonprofit Heart Strides, and forever finding balance in my life. Lover of travel, movies, books, art, photography and a sucker for a good piece of carrot cake.

Hanging out and meeting mother runners; can't wait to share miles and smiles with everyone.  I'm also looking forward to taking care of me, myself and I.

Two-Sentence Bio:  Former finance + brokerage guru turned Momma, Wife and School/Church/Community Volunteer. Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
Little Rock Anticipation: I am excited to meet the women behind the registrations. We watch the names and details come in week after week from all different places around the country. After reading survey responses and facebook posts, I am even more ready to finally put faces and stories to names. And the Capital Hotel pecans. Can't forget those!

Two-Sentence Bio: I’m a late-onset runner who writes the Martini Fridays column for AMR. I've written two memoirs, several hundred newspaper and magazine pieces, and a bazillion grocery lists.
Little Rock Anticipation: I can not wait to run in Little Rock! The city’s paths look absolutely divine. And I’m looking forward to the Capital Hotel’s sheets, simply because I’ve heard so much about them.

And that's not all...we've also got a small army of local Little Rock runners who are going to help us Rock this Retreat!

  1. Oh, how I wish I could attend the retreat! I’ll be running a marathon in Carmel, IN on April 18. Very excited about my marathon, but I would have definitely picked a different one if I knew about the retreat before registering! Next year….

  2. My daughter is only three months old, so I can’t make it this year. I hope you are planning a 2016 retreat!
