If the comments you gals wrote in response to the 5K of the Holidays questions were ornaments and lights, our blog would be the most dazzling, well-decorated creation! We loved finding out how far you've run, where you've run, what you eat along the way, and your favorite race. Whenever you're in need of inspiration or ideas, peruse all the responses.
Now, with no further ado, here are the winners. If you're one of them, please email us your name and mailing address at runmother [at] gmail [dot] com to claim your prize. If you won apparel or shoes, please remember to include what size you wear. And, heck, throw in your phone number in case the companies shipping the goodies need it.
Monday's Stocking Stuffer winners, and the length of their longest runs:
Kristen M: "My longest distance is a half marathon. I’m setting my sites on doing it for a third time in 2013."
Shelle: "My longest was 6.5 miles. I was so proud of myself for doing that!"
Tuesday's Wheels and Lids winner, and the coolest place she's ever run:
Renee: "The coolest place I have run was the trail in my first 1/2 marathon (Crazy Horse, SD) It was fall and the trees were beautiful on each side of the trail."
Wednesday's Head-to-Toe Gear winners, and their favorite races:
Whitney @ French Fry Runner: "I absolutely loved the Moab Winter Sun 10K I ran on Saturday–the race itself and the distance. I would love to run more 10Ks! Well, and half marathons."
Richelle R.: "I just ran the Rock 'n’ Roll 1/2 Marathon in Vegas on Saturday. What an amazing experience! I loved the run and the atmosphere.
PS- This Canadian is excited you opened up the giveaway to us too. Thank you!!"
Dawn Eszterhas: "Dried mangos!"
Laura Walker: "Almonds all the way!!! I just may need to go get some right now."
Adrienne: "That’s a tough one. My initial thought was popcorn, because I can eat it for every meal, every day, and never get sick of it. But I also really love Justin’s Maple Almond butter…on banana’s,whole wheat english muffins, my finger…you get it."
Freedom: "Cream cheese on fresh made bread or crackers with jalapenos from the garden. Yes, a summer time only snack…oh, how I love spicy foods. In winter…hot red pepper jelly on top of the cream cheese. yummo!"
Whew, that's a lot of ladies. We think we can hear all the winners squealing with delight right now.... For the rest of you: There's still the big kahuna prize--the NordicTrack C1750 treadmill--that one mother runner will win. You have through Thursday, December 13 to submit your running-related 6-word sentence to be entered to win. And tomorrow we announce the three winners of the running tee slogans. (Spoiler alert: we actually picked six; there were SO many good ones to choose from!)
Good luck, happy holidays, and many happy miles to you all!
