Our most epic podcast yet: Dimity tells, in wonderfully recalled detail, about her strong, heroic effort at Ironman Coeur d’Alene. From the 62-degree swim, to the wetsuit strippers, onto her trusty tri-bike Lyle, up hills and down, a chat with a cute guy named Ryan, to the final 26.2-mile run/walk, that starts with searing pain and includes an amazing shift in mental attitude, Dimity shares it all. (And SBS asks about details Dim would have otherwise left out, such as pooping and the changing tent.) And since 140.6 miles takes a while to talk through (let alone swim/bike/run!), this beauty is slightly more than an hour long. Deserving of such a long, tortuous race, the vocab word of this podcast is, “anthropomorphize.”

Amazing woman!
So excited to listen to this! I’m amazed and inspired by Dimity’s dedication and tenacity.
I listened to this on my commute into the city and I laughed with you and cried with you. It was so awesome and inspirational!!
can’t wait to listen to it!
Great podcast! I listened to it on my 7.5 mile pace run, just what I needed. People were probably wondering why I was randomly laughing or crying on the go. You were amazing and what an inspiration, anything is possible if you put your mind to it and just take that first step.
Yay, me and my busted toe are famous :) I was very lucky and I didn’t really notice the toe the entire race and I had an 1 hr 53 min PR.
Great race Dimity :)
Thank you! So honest and amazing.
Only need courage when you do something hard. You have and give courage.
You guys are ssssooooo funny! I’m gonna listen to this again when I need a good giggle. Dim, you are so badass! Now go add other things to your bucketlist.
