Dimity and Sarah pause during holiday (and work!) craziness to look back on the year that was as well as talk about their 2016 plans on this week’s running podcast. They mix in voice memos from mother runners, who talk about several debut marathons as well as a 100-mile, 10-day adventure in the New Year. Dimity double-fists it during this recorded-at-almost-5:00-p.m. podcast, with a Shiner Bock Beer in one hand and a glass of Nuunin the other. The ladies debate triathlon versus trail running as Dimity’s sport of choice, and Dimity talks about the ultramarathon she’s aiming for. Find out the new running term Sarah’s husband coined, and how it relates to Sarah’s goal for this year’s Boston Marathon. There’s much talk of the coming-very-soon Train Like a Mother Club, plus an announcement about new co-hosts joining the show. Start your year off right by taking a listen to this running podcast!

What a great podcast to kick off the new year! I listened during my TM “long run” this morning, and was so inspired that I ran a mile further than planned! Can’t wait for the Train Like a Mother Club to open. Even though I’m not focusing on finish times in 2016, I’ve figured out a way that following the 10k race plan will fit into that goal. Happy New Year BAMRs!
Thanks for the encouragement! I listened to the podcast while driving to/from the first 2016 group training run for the OKC Memorial Marathon on April 24. I’m training for the half marathon and ran 6 miles…longest run in months! I plan to sign up for one of the AMR training groups…loved being part of the Stride through the Holidays (even if missed numerous workouts…)! Happy 2016 to all!
Loved the podcast you guys! I am so glad you might be talking more about simple balancing and hip strengthening. It has been such a key for me in getting over and preventing injuries. Doing balance exercises on the BOSU balance trainer has been extremely efficient and effective for me. Even helps Plantar Fasciitis and knee stuff! Dimity I’m so glad you can walk barefoot now!!!
BOSU is another one of my weapons, Sally–I gave my husband one for Christmas so I could have it. :) Can’t wait to spill all the secrets so everybody can feel as strong and balanced as we do. :)
Ahhhhh, that’s me! Thanks for featuring my story.
