The word of the day is “bombogenisis.” It’s what happens when Nor’easters stop being polite and start getting real.
I — Adrienne — had four miles on my plan today. I did exactly none of them. Why?
Not only was I not inclined to run in a blizzard, I couldn’t get out to a place where there was a treadmill. And, incidentally, all of our roads are closed to non-essential travel. So, um. No run for me.
Some other BAMRs did better than I, however.
Like Heidi W.
And Judi M., who was sensible:
And Heather D (and her canine companion):
BAMRs got it done over on Instagram, too.
How did you get it done during Winter Storm Stella? Or, for most of you, Tuesday?
Stella was started later here in Boston. My husband and I got up early and went to the gym. Home by the time it started!
March has been more wintery in NNY than the rest of winter was. I ran both days last weekend in the bitter cold. Tuesday is my rest day, although my commute home was anything but restful. Today is a day off work and I am hoping to run once the roads are plowed. I almost lost my little dog on her morning walk. We are fortunate that the snow is fairly light, even if we did get more than expected.
Normally, I take Mondays as a rest day. This week, I ran and lifted Monday and took yesterday as a rest day. :-)
I pushed my long run from Sunday to Monday so Tuesday was a rest day. Stella dumped over a foot of snow in Southern NH. I think today is a snow shoe day! Yay!
Um, it was 81 when I ran yesterday. Wish we could have some middle group in oh, say, the mid 60s?
Stella brought alot of cold wind here in PA. Got on the bike trainer for 30 minutes and then 20 minutes of strength w/abs.
Storm just about winding down in Buffalo, N! But Tuesday morning I was supposed to run a tempo 5 mi run but got in only 2.4 miles in! It was honestly a tough run through the snow! Loved every minute of it!
And it is still snowing…got 4 miles in, dodging drifts.
