Whether you want to take on a 100-mile bike ride (yes, you can do it!) or polish up your nutrition, we’re here with accessible, engaging, community-minded programs to help you meet your goal—and have some fun along the way.

The programs we have listed below have specific starting dates, but these aren’t our only programs. If you’re ready to, say, train for a half marathon in Columbus in April or a sprint triathlon in San Diego in August, our on-going, race-specific programs, including half marathon and marathon programs, are rolling admission: Your program start date coordinates with your race date.

Training Programs

Team Half Marathon: Better Together

Race date: October 28, 2023
Race location: Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Indianapolis

What: A special program that turns 13.1 miles into a team effort. We’ll pair up newer runners with more experienced runners to train together—either virtually or IRL, depending on location—using a traditional half marathon program. Then in real life on October 28, the two-woman teams of Better Together will run the half marathon in Indianapolis—and toast to a team effort. Led by coaches Jess + Amy, this training program will include virtual team meetings, as well as sessions with a nutritionist and sports psych.

Best for: Two types of runners. First, runners who are taking on the half marathon distance for the first time—or the first time in a long time—and want a mentor/accountability buddy to help with the training cycle and run with them on race day. Second, runners who are experienced at the half marathon and want to encourage a fellow runner through the training cycle and on race day.

Training dates: 15 weeks: July 17-October 28

Registration opens: May 22

Team Marathon: Better Together

Race date: October 28, 2023

Race Like a Mother: 15K, 30K, 50K Trail Race

Race date: October 7, 2023
Race location: Blue Ridge Ultra in Blue Ridge, Georgia
(Blue Ridge is <2 hours from Atlanta, and <4 hours from Birmingham + Nashville)

What: Train virtually with a community for a trail race or ultra in real life in one of the most spectacular spots in the U.S. Led by Coach Christy, you’ll learn all the basics of trail running, be fully supported during your training cycle, then gather with your trail teammates in Blue Ridge on October 7 for a 15K, 30K, or 50K race.

Best for: Anybody who wants to dip their shoe in trail running—or take on a 50K—with a team supporting you through training and on race day.

Ride Like a Mother: 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles

Event date: September 9-10, 2023
Events: Maine Lighthouse Ride in Portland, ME + North Shore Century in Evanston, IL

What: Virtually train as a community for a bike ride with coaches Jen + Liz leading you. You’ll learn how to change a flat, how to climb effectively, and best bike handling skills.  Then you’ll celebrate by riding the distance of your choice with your teammates in real life on September 9 or 10 at one of two rides in the Northeast or Midwest.

Best for: Anybody who, due to injury or interest, wants to spend more time on two wheels. Cyclists who are aiming for the 75- or 100-mile distances should have some prior bike experience.

Race Like a Mother: Sprint Triathlon

Race date: July 23, 2023
Race location: The Forge Sprint Off-Road Triathlon, Lemont, IL
(Lemont is <1 hour from Chicago)

What: Train virtually with coaches Jen + Liz and a community, then take on The Forge Triathlon, a super beginner-friendly race, on July 23—and celebrate your swim, bike, run accomplishments post-race with your teammates.

Best for: Anybody who wants to try a triathlon in a team setting. (Experienced triathletes are welcome, too!)

Training dates: 12 weeks: May 2-July 23

AMR Retreats

Redmond, OR: June 9-12, 2023
Hilton Head, SC: November 3 – 6, 2023

What: A four-day, three-night celebration of movement, friendship, and community. You’ll fill your days with expert sessions, group runs (or walks or hikes), delicious meals, and plenty of laughter and memories. An Another Mother Runner Retreat is a chance to meet all your online friends from social media in real life. Join this Q + A session with Sarah and two Retreaters (including one multi-Retreat attendee).

Nutrition + Lifestyle Programs

Many Nutritious Miles
Dates: January 1-December 31, 2023

What: A year-long program, led by sports nutritionist Jenn Giles, RD-N, CSSD,  that focuses on a different aspect of nutrition each month: subjects include everything from the macronutrients to sports nutrition to supplements. The monthly materials are supplemented with an accompanying video from Jenn, as well as a monthly live Q + A session with Jenn during the year.

Best for: Anybody who wants to brush up on the basics of nutrition for active females in a community environment.

Simply Nourished Like a Mother

Round I: January 16-March 12, 2023
Round II: August 14-October 8, 2023

What: An innovative, eight-week program, led by Ellie Kempton, RDN + MSN, that serves up a foundational nutritional toolkit—the only one that you’ll need to spur lasting changes and a permanent transformation.

Best for: Active women ready to invest in a comprehensive, community-based course and have nutrition—and their bodies—work for them, not against them.

Metabolic Renewal

Round I: January 9-March 5, 2023
Round II: October 9-December 3, 2023

What: This eight-week, immersive program, led by Ellie Kempton, RDN + MSN, is dedicated to renewing your metabolism, weaning your body from the ultimate energy crutch (sugar!), and teaching your body to switch metabolic gears, the linchpin to pushing past metabolic stagnation.

Best for: Active women who have completed the Simply Nourished Like a Mother course and want to continue to nourish their metabolism both under Ellie’s accessible guidance and in a group environment.

Talking Perimenopause: A Six-Week Salon

Round I: April 17-May 28, 2023

What: During this six-week program, experts systematically address—and talk through—the main aspects of perimenopause; along the way, you’ll find both insight and ideas on how to navigate one of the most challenging physiological transformations we females experience.

Best for: Women who are in perimenopause, or women in their 40s
