There are beverages for drinking to stay hydrated (read: GU Hydration Tabs!), then there are the bevvies we savor and snuggle with. As we cruise into winter, we asked members of Team AMR what they like sipping and savoring.

The overwhelming “winner” was, not surprisingly, coffee…often served with a side of ritual. But there were also some new-for-us options.

Maybe brew yourself up your favorite hot bevvie to enjoy while you read our team’s responses. Cheers

“Hot tea (preferably Rishi Earl Grey) with honey. I love to drink my hot tea +  honey post-run in the winter. I stretch, cool down, and put my feet up and love the comfort of hot tea and honey: It warms me up from the inside out!” —Jennifer Harrison, Heart + Sole and Triathlon Programs Coach

“I’m a regular old black coffee drinker! I love drinking my first cup of coffee each morning by the light of the Christmas tree, or just the glow of the oven light before the whole house wakes up!” —Mandy Cherry, TLAM Club 5K Coach

Click Protein Shake. You can make this hot or cold, but it is an awesome source of protein and low sugar. I love sipping on a hot Click post run on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket.” —Christy Diller, Many Happy Miles physical therapist

LMNT Chocolate Salt. It’s so good: It tastes just like hot chocolate to me. I mix it in my favorite mug. Just be sure to stir it up so the saltiness is evenly distributed. For an added Christmastime treat, you can stir it with a peppermint stick/candy cane! I love it, and I’ll be drinking it to help me stay hydrated all winter!” —Jessica Hofheimer, Traditional TLAM Club Programs Coach

Coach Jess in her element

“Coffee, coffee, coffee! I love the taste of coffee. I love that it warms me up and makes my morning feel so much better. We have a regular drip maker, a Nespresso machine, an espresso machine, a French press, and a grinder. It’s obnoxious and yet I wouldn’t want to live any other way. Depending on my mood or how much time I have, I can make any kind of coffee drink there is.” —Cathy Engstrom, newsletter editor

“I love a good almond milk half-sweet vanilla latte. I love the taste and try to make it a habit to treat myself to one after a long run or workout, made all the better when I can do so with friends.” —Amy Skorich, Traditional TLAM Club Programs Coach

“I’m a basic coffee with creamer gal. I love it. I think the daily ritual of coffee is one of my favorite things about it! Wake up, coffee with my morning journaling, and reading before the rest of my house is awake.” —Jen Steele, TLAM Club 5K Programs Coach

“Hot chocolate with a shot of Disarronno* liqueur: It’s a leveled-up, adult hot chocolate that feels fancy, but is so simple. —Megan York, graphic designer + mom of three
