We wrapped our Retreat in Central Oregon (Redmond, to be exact) on Monday. It was a magical, memorable time with about 60 women. Several repeat attendees deemed it our “best Retreat ever,” in part because of the variety of the activities, including canoeing on an alpine lake, dinner in the mountains, playing pickleball, and hiking in a spectacular location. And also because of our host hotel, which we never wanted to leave!

A weekend full of memories, adventure, and fun!

Last week, we announced we were pressing pause on our Retreats. We’re now thinking we might return to Redmond next year because it was just so dang special. We’ll make an announcement later this summer. For now, if you’re filled with FOMO after looking at these photos and reading quotes from Retreaters, sign up for our Hilton Head Island Retreat, which kicks off November 3.

“AMR Redmond was like adult summer camp. We rejuvenated, connected with new and old friends, and had once-in-a-lifetime experiences, all while in a peaceful, beautiful place.” —Erin

A BAMR-filled alpine lake.

“My favorite part of hiking at Smith Rock State Park was watching this strong group of women support and encourage each other as we made our way over Misery Ridge: It was a challenging hike and everyone kind or found their little group going at a similar pace and stuck together. I heard a lot of ‘You’ve got this!,’ ‘I couldn’t have done that without you,’  and ‘I’m so proud of us!’ along the way. We all felt SO accomplished after finishing.” —Brooke

Hiking—and conquering—Smith Rock!

“While the running, hiking, and canoeing were the highlights of the retreat, I also loved the lobby hangouts before and after these big adventures. We shared stories and laughter (so much laughter!) and grew closer as friends. The cozy lobby with big, comfy couches was the perfect place to bond. I already miss my friends and that lobby.” —April

The sound of laughter filled the hotel lobby the entire weekend.

“Sharing a beautiful, dimly lit meal, family style, with conversation flowing. I had a heavy heart, knowing I was returning to some big real-life issues I’m having with my young adult son. Two BAMRs shared some insight. More importantly, they held space for me. It helped with my overwhelm and made me feel stronger coming home.” —Courtney

“The lobby at SCP Redmond was so inviting to talk with others. I would order a cup of coffee or tea from the Provisions Coffee Shop and find a spot on the couch to catch up with friends I have made virtually though AMR as well as meeting new friends. I even brought a book down to sit in the lobby and read—it was so cozy. One of my favorite things from this weekend!” —Brandi

Embracing a chilly, open-water dip.

“I loved all of the little conversations I was able to have with ladies over meals, on our hike, out on the morning runs, late nights in the lobby, and during our down time, catching up with old friends and making new ones. Everyone comes from such different backgrounds, but we were all brought together with this common love of running and the AMR community. Twenty-four states were represented at this Retreat!” —Brooke

“My favorite part of the Retreat was eating a fabulous al fresco dinner alongside an alpine lake!!!” —Meg

Dinner in the fresh mountain air with new and old friends.

“What a great weekend!!! Stephanie and I had such a great time sharing laughs, meals, and adventure with you gals. Such an impressive, inspiring group of women. This was for sure a weekend I’ll always remember and hard to top.” —Julie

The live podcast recording is always a highlight of our time together.

“Long-time listener, first-time Retreater. Why did I wait so long? Thank you all for the great time! Everything was planned out to a T, food was superb, company amazing! Dimity made the Summit Trail Hike EPIC!” —Sue

Morning runs in the Oregon sunshine.

“Always wish we could have a retreat that lasted four weeks instead of four days, but any time with other BAMRs is 100% wonderful. So many new memories, great food, and EPIC adventures.” —Cathy
