Sarah and Dimity are joined by Adrienne Martini, mother runner, college professor, and author, who is fresh off running her first half-marathon. Adrienne reveals why she ran laps for many of her training runs, and how she kept herself entertained on long runs. The newly minted half-marathoner shares the internal dialogues she had with herself before runs, when she struggled to escape the orbit of her house. Recapping her race, she talks about why Mile 7 was both a relief—and a hurdle. First up, though: Listen to Sarah marvel at the joy—and blue ribbons—her 8-year-old twins are discovering at the local track.
